UPDATE: Donated items have been sent. We would like to thank everyone who was able to contribute items, help organize the trailer, and those who helped in the delivering of supplies. We would also like to thank everyone that was able to make a monetary donation. The victims of Hurricane Helene, and the workers that are helping, all need our continued prayers. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

HURRICANE HELENE EMERGENCY RELIEF DONATIONS
Hurricane Helene left a great amount of devastation along the southeastern states, including southwest Virginia. With this in mind, Millfield has decided that they will be taking up a love offering October 6-13 for the Hurricane Helene Relief with the Baptist General Association of Virginia Disaster Response Team, for distribution to where they see the greatest need.
One hundred percent of the donations received are used for the disaster, none are used for administrative purposes. Make sure to write in the memo part of your check "Hurricane Relief", if you are donating to it. If giving cash, please use the envelopes in the back of the pews and write "Hurricane Relief" on it.
In addition, some of our members have local connections in the Lake Lure area. We are joining with several other churches and businesses who are helping in a joint effort to get these much needed items donated and delivered where needed most. Blankets and cool/cold weather items (sweatshirts, socks) have been specifically requested right now. If you can help by donating new items please bring them out to Millfield to be put in the trailer we will have on site.
