Millfield Guest Speaker from HopeTree

Millfield will have a guest speaker for our worship service this Sunay. Rev. George Fletcher, III, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for HopeTree, will be our guest speaker on Sunday, April 24. He retired as pastor of First Baptist Church, Winchester, Virginia in 2016. Rev. Fletcher pastored four Virginia Baptist churches for a total of 38 years. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Fletcher has served on two other Baptist boards, GraceInside and the former Religious Herald. He is active in Virginia Baptist Disaster Response, most recently serving in Virginia Beach following the mass shootings in 2019. He is also a past president of the Baptist General Association. Rev. Fletcher and his wife, Peggy, live in Zion Crossroads, Virginia, and are members of Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Troy, Virginia.
