Senior Pastor Position

Millfield Baptist Church is a moderate Baptist church in Southampton County, Virginia seeking a pastor. Our congregation values its rich heritage while warmly embracing the present and seeks ways to be the light that shines in our community. We seek a pastor who will lead/guide/direct us in developing our spiritual gifts both corporately and as individuals and who will disciple believers as well as reach out to the unchurched. Our pastor will have a vision for building a ministry that provides opportunities for both Biblical growth and development and fellowship for all age groups.

 

In addition to the above, our congregation has identified characteristics we believe our pastor should possess. These include, but are not limited to, a pastoral minister who can biblically preach and effectively plan and lead worship. The candidate should also be a caring and compassionate pastor who can administer pastoral care when and where needed. The preferred candidate will be able to build on a strong sense of community within our church family while also reaching out to inactive members and will assist in planning and outreach for those in the communities surrounding us. Millfield’s preferred candidate will be able to work effectively with all committees and all officers within our church.

 

We are seeking a pastor with a seminary degree. Millfield is aligned with the Baptist General Association of Virginia and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
